Be patient with me; I forgot how to speak. Words came flying by, but I could not understand what they were. In turn, the words, at times, which I tried to produce, lacked my normal dialect. I was pushing to hear myself. So often I chose to let it go, and let the other words (sights and sounds) take over. I made it available for external forces to have room.
Gaga is about being available: the best way to describe this is to be a participatory system which is open. In biological terms a closed system mean that it can sustain itself without external input. However, the movement here is about allowing traveling stuff to initiate the movement. The voice is often used to see how far the reverberations (echos) can reach, and to see how available you can be. Participation/active is key- nothing is ever limp. Everything is constantly floating in a more viscous substance than air. An idea, which I believe is lost, is that sounds travels faster though solids, then liquids then gas; But consider the clarity.
I didn’t understand the language- verbal or written. So advertisements were just pictures, and words were just sounds. It was lovely to be free from marketing, to be able to walk down the street and not be blown away by the comments (stupidity, harassing, etc). More words had the ability to be pleasurable or benign. It turned into enjoying the shape of the mouth, the flick of the tongue, the color of the eyes.
